Common use cases
Extract pages from a PDF when you need only part of a document as its own file. You might want one page, such as the signature page of a contract or a single receipt from a bank statement. You might want the first page only, such as a cover sheet or a one-page summary. Or you might want a few pages or a range, such as one chapter of a report or the pages a colleague asked for. Type the page numbers, click Extract, and you get one new PDF that contains just those pages. Your original file is not changed. Extracting is different from splitting: split turns a PDF into several separate files, while extract gives you a single file with only the pages you picked. Pages always come out in their original document order, so typing 5, 2 gives you page 2 then page 5. Everything runs in your browser with pdf-lib, so the PDF never leaves your device. That matters for contracts, payslips, medical letters, client reports and anything else you would rather not upload to a third-party website.
